Gibson Kalamazoo KM-11 (1930s) Mandolin - Restored
£750 + shipping

Restored by Alex Kirtley of Kirtley Guitars in Northumberland. The top had been refinished by a previous owner and he subsequently resprayed it with a new sunburst which matches the originals perfectly, and also fixed a back brace. The top displays some sinkage which is standard on the KM-11, and Alex checked this is stable. It plays perfectly up and down the neck, and is strung with D’Addario EJ-62 string which is the recommended gauge. Great vintage sound. Comes with original hard shell case, which shows expected signs of wear and tear for age.

Gibson Alrite Style D Mandolin (c.1917)
£950 + shipping

A great piece of Gibson history, this is shows plenty of signs of use and the label inside is unfortunately worn away along the centre. There’s clearly been a repair/customisation to the pick guard fixture at some point. It plays perfectly up and down the neck.

Shipped in non-original hardshell case as pictured.

Sigma SA-1 Mandolin (1970s)
£300 + shipping

I did a fair bit of research and narrowed this down to being a 1970s SA-1 Japanese build, whilst the company was still owned by Martin, though it's missing the stamp inside. This clearly spent a while hanging on a wall and a small hole was drilled into the top of the headstock, and the ‘Est’ date  inlay has been scratched from the face of the headstock for some reason. The original tailpiece was missing which I’ve replaced with a non-original but close approximation. After a thorough clean and polish this plays incredibly well and is surprisingly loud. Great mandolin with added history. Some dings and marks which I've done my best to photograph.

Shipped in soft gig bag, will be packaged in solid carboard box well padded.
