Welcome to Zuppardi’s Old Time Collection!

 

This first edition features three sections featuring sets of five tunes in the keys of G, D and A transcribed in combinations of standard notation and tablature.​

The tune versions presented here should be viewed as the building blocks of melody, which should be satisfying enough to play as written, but with plenty of room for variation and embellishment as you see fit. This edition is likely to be followed hot on the heels by a second edition which contains some suggestions on variations and more tunes!

 

A note the final section in the key of A, in which I’ve nestled three modal tunes: June Apple, Cluck Old Hen and Kitchen Girl. These use different scale patterns and chords to the two tunes in A Major. 

As ever, keep an eye on key signatures unless otherwise indicated.
